Creighton University Phoenix: Health Sciences Faculty Floor
|
Date of Completion: 2026 |
Partners: RDG Planning & Design, Okland Construction in Phoenix, Project Advocates, Steelcase |
This dedicated faculty floor at Creighton University’s Phoenix Health Sciences campus was delivered by SBI to support focused work and confidential conversations. The space features Steelcase demountable wall systems, including LiteScale and Privacy Wall, paired with integrated sound masking to create highly private office environments.
To achieve the goal of near soundproof conditions, SBI coordinated closely across trades to align acoustics with life safety systems. The sound masking system was connected to the building’s fire alarm to automatically adjust levels, ensuring alarm audibility within enclosed offices while maintaining everyday speech privacy.
Additional considerations included reinforcing wall systems with extra fasteners to meet seismic requirements, resulting in a solution that balances performance, safety, and adaptability for a modern academic setting.

Sheppard’s Business Interiors partnered with Creighton University’s Heider College of Business, MCL Construction, and Holland Basham Architects to support the college’s ongoing expansion and commitment to delivering a high‑quality, real‑world business education. With enrollment steadily increasing and faculty numbers growing to maintain Creighton’s exceptional student‑to‑professor ratio, the college needed a thoughtful workspace strategy that could accommodate new programs, additional course sections, and a more collaborative academic environment.
SBI provided comprehensive furniture solutions that enhance learning, teaching, and connection across the college. New offices were furnished to support faculty productivity, while flexible classroom environments were designed to adapt to evolving curriculum needs. Collaborative lounges and dedicated study areas give business students a mix of quiet focus zones and interactive spaces that enrich the educational experience. The result is a cohesive, future‑ready environment that reflects Heider College of Business’s commitment to excellence and supports its continued growth.
Inspired? Same.
Let’s turn that spark into a space that works as good as it looks.
