Duchesne Academy partnered with Sheppard’s Business Interiors to explore new possibilities for flexible, student‑centered learning environments. Through SBI’s Classroom Test Drive program, teachers and students were able to experience Active Learning furniture in real classroom settings, experimenting with new layouts, movement‑friendly seating, and behavior‑shaping configurations that support stronger engagement and more effective instruction. The temporary installation gave the school valuable insight into how space design can influence participation and improve learning outcomes.
Following the success of the Test Drive experience, Duchesne refreshed the furniture in several classrooms and a large study hall. The updated spaces now feature ergonomic seating and mobile furniture that can shift effortlessly between independent work, lecture‑style instruction, and group collaboration. The result is a dynamic, adaptable learning environment that aligns with Duchesne Academy’s commitment to academic excellence and student growth.
