Hillside Elementary School is part of Westside Community Schools’ Phase II Facilities Master Plan, a district-wide effort to modernize and enhance learning environments. Originally built in 1954, the project involved constructing a new school building adjacent to the existing facility, allowing students and staff to remain in place during construction. Once the new building was completed and operational, the original structure was removed to make way for updated site improvements.
Sheppard’s Business Interiors partnered with Project Advocates and APMA to support the furnishing of the new facility. SBI supplied district-standard classroom furniture for learning spaces, the Media Center, and collaboration areas, ensuring consistency with district design standards and flexibility for modern teaching methods.
Following a competitive bid process, SBI was also awarded the contract for offices and ancillary spaces. This expanded scope allowed SBI to furnish the entire school, working closely with project partners to create cohesive, functional environments throughout the building that support both staff needs and student learning.
Inspired? Same.
Let’s turn that spark into a space that works as good as it looks.
