UNMC’s Munroe‑Meyer Institute collaborated with Sheppard’s Business Interiors and Altus to create an environment that supports the unique needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The goal was to shape spaces that feel supportive, soothing, and accessible for patients, families, and care teams.

SBI provided furniture solutions that help create a calming, sensory‑aware atmosphere, including soft seating, adaptable layouts, and ergonomic options designed for comfort and flexibility. The resulting environment is warm, inclusive, and restorative, aligning with Munroe‑Meyer’s mission to deliver exceptional care and meaningful patient experiences.

Sheppard’s Business Interiors collaborated with the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) to furnish Wittson Hall & McGoogan Library, creating versatile spaces that support learning, collaboration, and productivity. The scope included design and installation of furnishings for a variety of spaces, from vibrant common areas and waiting lounges to private offices, workstations, conference rooms, and technology commons.

Our team also supplied flexible “pod” seating that encourages focused work and informal gatherings, helping to create a dynamic environment tailored to diverse user needs. Thoughtfully selected pieces balance comfort, durability, and adaptability, enhancing both individual and group experiences. The result is a cohesive and functional interior that supports UNMC’s mission of education, research, and community engagement.

For the UNMC Miracle Hills Pharmacy project, Sheppard’s Business Interiors designed and installed furniture to create functional and inviting spaces for staff, students, and visitors. The scope included the waiting room, conference rooms, learning room, cafeteria, and workstations, ensuring each area met the unique needs of its users.
